Microsoft is set to release their gaming mode for Windows 10 testing. Gaming mode as the name suggests will be optimized for gaming performance and allow gamers to squeeze out as much juice as possible from their PC.
Current speculation suggests that the optimizations will allow the CPU and GPU to minimize resource usage on other tasks and focus them on the game.
The feature will be a part of the creators update which leaves me personally wondering if there is more to it that we can expect than just a slight boost to games themselves. While we are speculating since the update is named a Creators update and not a Gamers update the focus could be on other software that is used by gamers and creators alike such as recording, editing and other publishing software.
The update is expected to be released to Windows 10 users in April this year.
